So I got the idea for this a long time ago, and remembered I wanted to do it yesterday so I did. What I wanted to do was find and print the sheet music to me and the bf's song, which is "Amber" by 311. Then I thought I need to get the paper to look browned with time, like it was antique. So I found on Pinerest that the way you do that is soaking it in tea and then baking it a few minutes at 200. When that was done it looked cool, but then I was like I want the edges a little more browned, so I lit a candle and accidentally caught some of it on fire but eventually figured it out and now it looks like the pic on the right. Now all I have to do is find some maroon paper (so that when I frame it the cool edges don't get lost) and then get a cool dark brown antique-looking frame and then I want to hang it with a thick maroon ribbon. Is that not the cutest thing you ever heard? I'll post the end result once I get a frame but I'm super excited, it's going to look great.
Today's idea I got from watching Playing House last night (my new favorite show), they had a pine cone garland on their fireplace. So that's the project I'll be tackling later, I've got twine, I've got hooks, and there's pine cones everywhere outside, so it's another completely free activity. Yay since I don't have money.
