Kind of funny that I'm still getting rejection letters from submissions I've sent in, like, a year ago. And when I cry it's due to how funny it is. Not because it secretly bums me out. Or anything. I got another one the other day, and although it was an email saying they chose not to publish my piece, they still had a few good things to say. Oh, here they are now:
Feedback from freeze frame fiction for silly short "Spontaneous Werewolfism":
"Got a smile from me at the end."
"That was amusing, and I like the concept."
"This was very cute, very funny. Love the mustache. Overall, it's a cool idea . . . I enjoyed reading this, it made me smile."
There was more of course, they actually put some nice thought into it in terms of how they thought it could be better, but I cut all that out because it's perfect in every way.
